Just over a week ago, Ludicology moved into their new business home at The Regent, Wrexham. When Ben, one of the Directors of the business approached me, the first thing I did was to find out what ludicology is, it's not a word used every day after all is it? Ludicology, it turns out, is the study of playfulness.
Ben and the co-director Mike have been in business for over 10 years working with visitor attractions, urban planners, childcare providers, government bodies and healthcare organisations. Their work must be particularly interesting considering the modern barriers there are to physical play, as children's attention is being pulled increasingly from the outdoors to a world of sedentary activities. Does anyone remember spending Sunday afternoons walking with your mates into woods or fields and sometimes getting in a mess? These were carefree days. May Ludicology help organisations harness the true playfulness given to children and their move into their new office accommodation help them in that. To find out more about Ludiciology, go to www.ludicology.com. This week I got wind of another Office coming available. More information when I have it. Until then, Happy Officing! Joanna x
