THE REGENT STORY
The Regent began life as an Edwardian home, once occupied by a railway widow, and has long been part of Wrexham’s architectural landscape. Over the decades, it passed through notable owners — including Tetley and a well‑known local politician — yet it remained simply 67 Regent Street, a building without a clear identity or purpose.
That changed when Joanna Kinch took ownership.
Joanna named the building The Regent, restored its character, and shaped it into a calm, professional environment for modern organisations. The building’s identity — from its branding to its illustrated façade — was created by Alan Jones, former LEGO magazine illustrator and co‑founder of Mako Creative. Alan’s commissioned illustration of The Regent, displayed inside the building, captures it exactly as it stands today: restored, branded and in daily use by professional organisations.
Our Heritage
Built in the Edwardian era, The Regent has retained its original charm through thoughtful restoration. Its heritage character is woven into every part of the building, creating a workspace that feels both historic and welcoming. The building’s identity today reflects its past while supporting the organisations who work within it.

A Thoughtful Restoration
Every detail was considered. Joanna had her hand in every aspect of the restoration — commissioning a stained‑glass specialist to reinstate missing panels in the vestibule door, reinstating an original‑style entrance door, adding Lincrusta wall features to return Edwardian depth and texture, and introducing the Orangery extension to create a bright, versatile space. The roof was replaced, solar panels were added, and the internal configuration was redesigned to create a more organised, professional layout.
A modern white reception area was commissioned to sit in deliberate contrast to the preserved Minton tiles, allowing the heritage flooring to remain the focal point while the reception provides a clean, contemporary welcome. The restrooms were redesigned using Venesta commercial washroom systems, with bright, modern colours chosen to bring clarity and energy to the building.
The Regent is designed for organisations that value stability, privacy and a premium setting. Its quiet rooms, organised layout and heritage features create a calm environment where professionals can work without interruption. The modern white reception provides a clean, contemporary welcome, while the preserved Minton tiles, reinstated stained glass and Lincrusta details bring depth and character to the building.
